Our mission is to improve the overall energy performance of buildings in Ireland by promoting and advising on energy saving techniques and technologies.
We pride ourselves on providing each of our clients with bespoke energy saving solutions to suit their particular situation, by compiling Feasibility Studies, Energy Audit Reports and Advisory Reports.
Where possible we aim to limit the use of fossil fuel technology. We see this as a two-fold benefit to the customer;
Benefit No. 1 – In December 2009, the Irish Government introduced a 'Carbon Tax' on all fossil fuels in the annual budget. This tax will apply to heating oil, gas, coal, briquettes, and vehicle fuels. The reasons for introducing a carbon tax is that it will generate badly needed revenue and will hopefully persuade people to move away from fossil fuels and seek alternative energies.
Reducing or even eliminating the requirement for fossil fuel heating and cooling technologies will ensure that your building can avoid this tax when introduced in May 2010.
Benefit No. 2 – With oil prices expected to rise dramatically over the coming years, the cost of heating and cooling buildings, using fossil fuelled (eg. oil or gas) fired technology will inevitably reach uneconomical proportions.
As world oil supplies dwindle, the likelihood of an oil crisis and the end of the oil era also appears inevitable. As a result, millions of homes and businesses around the world, that are dependent on oil or other oil related products, will be left with no heating or cooling systems.
Avoiding oil and other fossil fuelled heating and cooling systems will ensure that your building is not affected in the future by oil price fluctuations and shortages.
